[NEWS] KPOP artist to hold concert in Japan for charity

Sixteen K-Pop artists will take off for Japan to hold a charity concert this May in Japan. Korean entertainment companies have been donating to Japan left-and-right, with SM Entertainment donating $1 million USD, YG Entertainment donating $500,000 USD and JYP Entertainment donating over $300,000 they have been doing their best to help.
Now, they have come together to co-host the event with MBC and “Show! Music Core. The event, titled, “Tokyo Legend 2011- Korean Music Wave Live in Tokyo” will also be co-hosted by Fuji TV and Avex Entertainment to celebrate the 50th anniversary of MBC.
The artists that will be performing at this concert include: TVXQ, 2PM, SHINee, BEAST, MBLAQ, FT Island, 2AM, Cho Shin Sung, SG WANNABE, f(x), 4Minute, Miss A, Secret, IU, SISTAR, and ZE:A.
All proceeds will be donated to “Good Friends Save the Children (GFSC). All artists will also make donations and give special messages to help the relief efforts in Japan. 23 nurseries in Japan have also been invited as special guests, where the children from each nursery will receive special gifts from the artists themselves.
The group released a statement saying, “We would like to send our condolences to all the people suffering from the disaster in Japan. We are seeking ways to better help and support relief efforts in Japan”.
Fanclubs will also be participating in this charity event, setting up individual donation boxes on behalf of each artist.
